With just 15 minutes a day, you can REALLY help your website traffic. Hand these tasks off to an employee or do them yourself. Just, get it done! (Search Engine Optimization is the only thing that's not immediate on the web. Be patient and expect results!)

Yahoo Answers
Yahoo Answers is a human search engine. Ask a question, get an answer from real live people! Take your expertise from your own business or organization and start answering questions. You'll need a Yahoo account to get started.

Answer a variety of questions that interest you to learn the ropes. Since I just got through a pregnancy, I'm now an "expert" on pregnancy. So, I'm going to browse through questions in that category. I'm looking for questions that have no answers, or no answers that I agree with.

Answer a question. Do NOT waste your time with one sentence answers. Give an honest, thought-out explanation. Cover all the sub-questions mentioned!

Here's the important part: Once you have a hang of it, start answering questions related to your industry. Include a link to your site in the Source field. Do NOT post answers that sound like an advertisement. Of course, if someone asks for recommendations on a product--go ahead! Just make sure it matches the question and doesn't sound like a sales pitch. And don't forget a link to your site!

Blog
Start a free blog at Blogger.com, LiveJournal.com or WordPress.com (there are many others out there!). If you found at Yahoo Answers that you don't have much to say about your industry, blog about anything you can talk at length about. Your kids? Grandkids? Pets? Politics? Post a paragraph or more once a week. Include a link to your website somewhere on the blog. In an About Me section you can explain what your day job is, with the link.

Social Networking
Google likes big sites like Facebook and Myspace, and they like it even more when big sites link to YOU. Start a Facebook or Myspace (or whatever site your grandkids are telling you to do) account. Include a link to your site!

Industry Discussion Board
Really, the Internet is all about giving out free information. Join discussion groups, share information. Include a link to your site in your signature line.

Email Signature
Every email that you send out, business or personal, include a link to your site in the signature line. It helps to include a catchy slogan that will encourage people to CLICK on the link.

Look, listen and learn
Surf the web and look for opportunities. Whether it's a niche community that wants to help you succeed, or an idea from another website--take the opportunity!
